The Phoenix Suns are in a unique position in this year's draft. They hold the fourth overall pick, giving them a plethora of talent to choose from in a very deep draft.

According to Gerald Bourguet of the Hoops Habit, selecting Kentucky point guard De'Aaron Fox with their pick appears to hinge on the future of veteran guard Eric Bledsoe.

If the Suns head in Fox's direction with their selection, Bledsoe would be the odd man out of the equation with rising-star Devin Booker manning the other starting backcourt spot.

Keep in mind, the Suns also have Brandon Knight under contract, with three years remaining worth around $44 million on his five-year, $70 million deal.

Meanwhile, Bledsoe still has two years worth $29.5 million left on his five-year, $70 million contract. The addition of any point guard would cause a logjam in the backcourt, making it necessary for the team to move either Bledsoe or Knight.

Despite a well-documented injury history, the 27-year-old is coming off a highly productive campaign that saw him average 21.1 points, 6.3 assists, and 4.8 rebounds per game. His season ended prematurely because of the Suns' decision to make him a healthy scratch, with eyes toward playing their young talent.

The Suns have put forth a concerted effort in trying to move him as part of any trade that is presented to the team. Nonetheless, the front office is faced with a critical decision regarding the fourth overall pick.
