Portland Trail Blazers superstar Damian Lillard was probably expecting to get drenched in the locker room shortly after hitting a buzzer-beating 3-pointer against the Chicago Bulls on Saturday. After all, he's already made several of those throughout his career in Rip City. The 30-year-old supreme scorer barely got a foot inside the visitor's locker room door at United Center when his teammates gave him an untimely shower.
They didn’t even let him get in the door 🤣🤣🤣 pic.twitter.com/pMSGnhf04r

With Portland down by just two points with six seconds left in regulation, everybody in the arena knew it was Dame Time. Even the Bulls players knew this, but they still couldn't stop the inevitable. After collecting the ball from a jump ball, Lillard calmly made his move and finished it off with a familiar-looking step-back 3-pointer in the right-wing.
The 5-time All-Star finished with 44 points, nine assists, five rebounds, and one steal while shooting 15-for-26 from the field including eight made threes in 36 minutes. Lillard's heroics improved the Blazers' record to 10-8, good for sixth place in the Western Conference. The Bulls, on the other hand, dropped to 11th in the East with a 7-11 slate.
