Damian Lillard is more than just a top point guard in the NBA. He's also a rapper. I know what you're thinking, but Lillard is different from guys like Shaq and Kobe. Lillard has worked with big-time names in hip hop, most notably Lil Wayne. Lillard even admitted that he was supposed to be on Lil Wayne's newest album, “Tha Carter V.”

When asked if he plans to collaborate with Weezy in the future, Lillard told NBA reporter Ashley Nevel:

“For sure. I mean, we've done so many songs together that people haven't heard. You know, I was actually supposed to be on ‘Tha Carter V,' but the songs that we did, you know at this point they're so outdated because it took so long for ‘Tha Carter V' to come out. So hopefully, in the next one I'll be on there.”

Lillard takes his rap career seriously, but he's a basketball player first and foremost. His Portland Trail Blazers open up the season with one of the most highly anticipated games in recent years. Lillard's Blazers will take on the Los Angeles Lakers in LeBron James' first regular-season game with the iconic franchise.

Lillard and company are looking to get off on the right foot by spoiling LeBron's debut. The Blazers have a lot to prove this season after a first-round sweep despite being the three seed in the Western Conference.

Lillard made the All-NBA first team for the first time last season, but now it's time for the Blazers to prove they can do it in the playoffs.
