Sacramento Kings guard De'Aaron Fox was not very happy with how their game against the Utah Jazz was officiated and he made sure to make his feelings know about it. Apparently, the league believes that the 23-year-old crossed a line with his post-game comments and he has since been fined a whopping $20,000 for his criticism of the game officials.

The Kings suffered a 128-112 loss against the league-best Jazz, and after a hard-fought encounter, Fox had a bit to say to the referees. He actually had to be held back by Utah star Donovan Mitchell as Fox angrily approached the game officials following the final buzzer.

Fox, who himself put Jazz big man Rudy Gobert on a poster on Saturday, then shared his honest thoughts on how poorly he believes the contest was officiated in his post-game press conference:

“If you're going to call something on one end, call it on the other end,” Fox said, (h/t Spotrtsnet.com). “And if somebody is trying to talk to you, you can't get your feelings (hurt) so quick to where it's not even a hostile conversation and you're saying, ‘Don't talk to (me)' and this and this and that and that. I mean, you're coming down guessing on plays.”

Fox did not hold back with his comments and he made sure to let everyone know how he believes the referees did an awful job during the contest. The NBA is very strict when it comes to unsavory comments towards game officials, and it isn't surprising that Fox has been slapped with a hefty fine here. Whether or not this serves as a lesson for him remains to be seen, though.
