In a little over two weeks from now, Sacramento Kings shooting guard Vince Carter is set to celebrate his 41st birthday on Jan. 26. During a play midway through the third quarter of Tuesday night's game against the Los Angeles Lakers, Carter turned back the clock and showed fans at Staples Center that he can still fly.
With the Lakers up 70-66 over the Kings, Carter took a pass from center Willie Cauley-Stein and soared for a powerful one-handed slam dunk. Even the Los Angeles crowd loved it based on the reaction throughout the arena.
A video of the play, which was posted on the NBA's official Twitter account, can be viewed below:

Lakers power forward Julius Randle, who was down in the paint during the play, looked like he didn't want anything to do with Carter potentially putting him on a poster.
Carter is currently the oldest player in the entire league, as the eight-time NBA All-Star is in the midst of his 19th season after he was drafted No. 5 overall out of the University of North Carolina.
The Kings guard has been known throughout his entire career for his dynamic playmaking and freakish athleticism, especially during his early days with the Toronto Raptors. At the 2000 NBA All-Star Game weekend, Carter was the winner of the NBA Slam Dunk Contest when it was held in Oakland, breathing life back to the event that had seemed to lose some of its luster prior to that contest.
Through his illustrious 19-year NBA career, Carter has averaged 18.0 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 3.3 assists per game in a whopping 1,371 contests played.
