After showing up late to a morning shootaround earlier in the week, Sacramento Kings guard Ty Lawson reportedly missed the team's flight to Kentucky for an exhibition game.
Now, the 28-year-old would need to explain his side to team officials.

Despite all the run-ins Lawson has had in the past with authority and multiple DUI charges, the Kings took a chance on him as they badly needed depth at the point guard spot. The North Carolina product made a good first impression in training camp and had coach Dave Joerger rave about the work he has put in.
But now, things are turning for the worse as Lawson could not stay focused on his job at hand. He was expected to start for the first eight games of the season with Darren Collison suspended, but as it stands, there is a bigger chance for Jordan Farmar or Garrett Temple to fill in. Should the Kings decide to cut Lawson from their roster, they will have no obligations to pay him as his contract is reportedly non-guaranteed.
Reminder: $0 of Ty Lawson's $980,431 salary is guaranteed. The Kings can easily cut him, if they choose. https://t.co/agVNjslu0a
