Because of the many uncertainties surrounding their head coaching job, the San Antonio Spurs have some of the most questions of any NBA team right now. They will have to do a fantastic job at the trade deadline this year to ensure that their future head coach is in excellent hands with the players they will have.
Due to the many questions that have come prevalent this season, the Spurs will have to make some tough decisions and they must be smart with what they do decide to do. Let's take a look at the three most important questions about the Spurs in the remainder of this year.

3. Could Dejounte Murray be traded if the right package comes back?
There have been speculations that the Spurs are considering tradng Dejounte Murray, and the short answer to that question is no they should not. Under Head Coach Gregg Popovich, he is all a Spurs player should be, as he does everything on the court. He's averaging 19.1 points per game, 8.3 rebounds, and 8.8 assists this season. All of these numbers are among the top-28 in the NBA, with his assist total ranking fourth in the league.
If the Spurs decide to trade Dejounte Murray for any reason, they must ensure that they receive a ridiculous package in return. Despite the fact that they are not in a position to make a deep run in the playoffs any time soon, they must consider how young he is and how important he will be to their success in a few seasons. There have been some rumors that they may trade him for a player like Ben Simmons, and if they do, the Spurs would lose that trade more than anybody could think.
What he has accomplished this season should instill confidence in the Spurs that he can be that player when the team returns to being a championship contender in the future. He has been exceptional in every facet of the game, and there is no reason to consider trading him, even if a huge trade offer comes back for him.

2. What type of players are San Antonio looking for at the deadline?
San Antonio has made it clear that they will move a handful of their players, including Bryn Forbes, Thaddeus Young, and maybe a few others. It makes sense from this team's standpoint since they aren't players who are really going to be a part of this team's future, and they could receive a reasonable return because they have demonstrated throughout their careers that they can do things that contending teams are looking for. Throughout his career, Bryn Forbes has shown that he can come in and shoot a three-point shot as well as anybody in the NBA.
Thaddeus Young has also demonstrated being a high-level defender throughout his career, which is something that every contending team will be searching for at the trade deadline.
San Antonio must consider who they are trading and the sort of players they want to bring back. Are they going to attempt to trade for some young players who could develop into the players they want, or will they try to trade for some guys who can go in and make an immediate impact with Dejounte Murray, Lonnie Walker, and Keldon Johnson?
This Spurs team will have a difficult time deciding who they want to bring in, but they must realize that if they do not make the required moves to help this team at the deadline, they will not be successful in the near future. For them, this might be a crucial trade deadline. If they don't get back the right value for the players they are going to deal with, they might find themselves in an even worse situation than they are in now.
1. What is the future without Gregg Popovich going to look like?
Because there will be so many concerns about who will be the face of this organization and who will lead the club when he leaves, this will be the most important question regarding the Spurs. Gregg Popovich has done an outstanding job with this Spurs organization over his long coaching tenure, and he is a big reason why they have had so much success in recent decades.
San Antonio will have to go out and locate the right coach to bring back for Popovich after a lengthy and intensive search. They may find themselves in a difficult situation if they do not find the right coach to continue assisting the younger players who have previously played with Popovich.
