EuroBasket 2017 is now underway, featuring a slew of players from the NBA who are taking part in the tournament.
However, this comes with the risk of the players potentially suffering injuries. According to Jeff Garcia of Spurs Zone, San Antonio Spurs second-year forward Davis Bertan has suffered a finger injury while playing for Latvia.

Bertans dodged the bullet by not suffering any break or fracture on his finger that could have kept him sidelined for several weeks. Instead, he will likely miss a game or two due to precautionary measures in order to avoid further injury. Latvia's next game will be on Sept. 4 against Great Britain.
Ultimately, this falls into the Spurs' hands to decide whether to let him continue to play for his home country. He had been originally selected with the 42nd overall pick in the 2011 NBA Draft by San Antonio and only played his first season with the team last year.
Davis Bertans averaged 4.5 points on 44 percent shooting from the field with 1.5 rebounds in 12.1 minutes per contest in 67 games played last season.
