Acting coach Ettore Messina will get another whirl at the clipboard for Game 5 against the Golden State Warriors, leading the San Antonio Spurs in place of the grieving Gregg Popovich on Tuesday at Oracle Arena, according to Marc J. Spears of The Undefeated.

Messina coached in Games 3 and 4 after Popovich's wife; Erin, died after a long battle with an undisclosed illness on Wednesday.

The Spurs fell into a 3-0 hole, but rebounded with a 13-point win on Sunday to extend the series to five games, turning to the road once again.

Amassing 25 European titles between Russia and Italy, the 58-year-old Messina is the next-highest in the chain of command to Popovich, entrusted with leading this roster as long as Popovich decides to be out.

Familiar with the system after working with the organization since 2014, he'll look to lead this veteran bunch once again, hopeful to repeat the same result as in Game 4.
