What. Just. Happened? Game 7 of the Denver Nuggets-San Antonio Spurs series had a weird conclusion.
Now, Nuggets fan will only care about the end result. After all, Denver won the series and will advance to the Western Conference semifinals to face the Portland Trail Blazers. However, Spurs fan might still be trying to understand everything that transpired in the closing moments of the game.
The Spurs were down 90-86 with 26 seconds left and the possession on the Nuggets. Obviously, time was not on San Antonio's side, but for some reason, no one fouled any Denver player and allowed the home team to run down the clock and shoot the ball one more time. The shot missed, but by the time DeMar DeRozan grabbed the rebound, there was only roughly three seconds left.

From the looks of it, the Spurs treated this game like it was being played in the regular season. By the time that (maybe) some of them realized that this was Game 7, it was already too late.
In his postgame interview, Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich said he was shouting at his players to foul, but for some reason, nobody heard him.
The game felt like it ended prematurely, but it didn't. The buzzer sounded, the Nuggets won, the Spurs lost, and the fans are still in disbelief.
