Pau Gasol is back in Spain for the summer, and it looks like he’s spending his time off pretty well. The San Antonio Spurs big man recently took a tour of the Picasso Museum in Malaga, a picture of which he posted on his Twitter account.

For those who are unaware, Pau Gasol is one of the more intelligent NBA players around. If he weren’t such a gifted basketball player, he likely would’ve followed through with his plan to continue with his parents’ footsteps, both of whom worked in the medical field, and became a doctor.

Gasol also speaks multiple other languages apart from Spanish and English, is an avid reader, and also likes to listen to classical music. He is indeed a true renaissance man.

With that in mind, it’s not too surprising to see Gasol spending his offseason by taking in some culture in a Picasso museum. Like the great painter himself, the Spurs veteran is pretty much a genius at what he does best, which is play basketball, and has amassed an incredible body of work throughout his amazing career.

Hopefully for the Spurs, the 37-year-old Gasol still has a few more years of greatness left in him before he calls it a career and spends a lot more of his time in museums.
