The San Antonio Spurs assistant coaches now have to get ready for a Game 5 after they beat the Golden State Warriors to force at least one more game. That, however, won't be the only thing on their minds as two of the assistant coaches will be interviewing with the Charlotte Hornets for their head coaching job.
According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, Spurs assistant Ime Udoka will interview for the Hornets vacancy later on this week.

Earlier this week Wojnarowski had also reported that Spurs assistant Ettore Messina would also get an interview with the Hornets.

Udoka is only 40 years old but has already been on Gregg Popovich's staff for six years. He also played for seven years in the NBA. Many consider him one of the most promising young coaching prospects so it's not really a surprise to see him get a look.
During his playing career, he was mostly a reserve and a role player but still had himself a nice career. In 316 games he averaged 5.2 points and 2.9 rebounds per game. His best year was in 2006-07 with the Portland Trail Blazers where he started 75 games averaging 8.4 points and 3.7 rebounds per game.
It will be interesting to see if either of these guys get the head coaching job, but there seems to be a good chance that coach Popovich might be looking for a new assistant coach this offseason.
