After their Game 6 win on Thursday, DeMar DeRozan of the San Antonio Spurs shared his thoughts on how to prepare for Game 7 against the Denver Nuggets.

In a post-game conference, DeRozan said that they simply cannot rely on experience against the Nuggets squad.

“You know you can lean on experience, but we've got to come ready.”

For DeRozan, this is his sixth straight playoff appearance and the first under the Spurs. In his stint with the Toronto Raptors, he's come close to the NBA Finals, specifically in 2016 when they met the LeBron James-led Cleveland Cavaliers in the Eastern Conference Finals. If there's anyone who knows what at stake in Game 7, it's definitely him.

But he's also joined by the veterans Patty Mills, LaMarcus Aldridge and Rudy Gay. Among them, only Mills has a championship ring and his experience in the playoffs will be valuable. And they also have Gregg Popovich — arguably one of the greatest coaches in all of sports guiding them. But at the same time, they also have a couple of young guys in the team who have yet to be tested under pressure.

The Nuggets, meanwhile, would have to figure out a way to counter the Spurs' in-court savviness playoff experience. While they were one of the best teams in the regular season, the reality is that this Nuggets squad hasn't won a single playoff series. In fact, this is the first time that the organization qualified for the postseason since the 2012-2013 season.

Will the Spurs' experience prevail? Or will the Nuggets unleash something we haven't seen?
