Another day, another historic feat for Philadelphia 76ers point guard Ben Simmons. In this case, it was multiple in one night for the Sixers' star.
Needless to say, Simmons has racked up his fair share of accolades in the 2017-18 NBA season. He added to his stellar campaign in Philadelphia's 108-94 win on Monday night by becoming the first to register three triple-doubles in a four-game span since NBA legend Oscar Robertson did it in 1961, per Elias Sports:

It was just one of many accomplishments for Simmons on the night. He did it in spectacular fashion by becoming just the third rookie to post a triple-double without any turnovers, per Adam Fromal of NBA Math:

Since 1963, triple-doubles by rookies with 0 turnovers:
1. David Robinson: 27 points (17 FGA), 15 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals, 11 blocks
2. Andre Iguodala: 10 points (8 FGA), 10 rebounds, 10 assists, 4 steals
3. Ben Simmons: 11 points (9 FGA), 12 rebounds, 15 assists, 3 steals pic.twitter.com/gh7T5wPCoS— Adam Fromal (@fromal09) March 20, 2018
Simmons continues to prove why he is not just the best rookie in the league, but also one of its most versatile players. His outing versus the Hornets gives him nine triple-doubles on the season. Perhaps even more impressive is that he has shown no signs of slowing down. It was well-established early on that Simmons is more than capable of going off for a triple-double on any given night. However, his recent performance suggests he is capable of doing it on a consistent basis.
Although this season has featured one of the more exciting rookie classes in recent years, it is clear that Simmons is the prime candidate to take home Rookie of the Year honors. Yet, the former No. 1 overall pick may be more concerned with being awarded home-court advantage in the first round of the Eastern Conference Playoffs this year.
