Philadelphia 76ers' Joel Embiid has something to say about his controversial teammate Markell Fultz.

“He's been really good actually,” Embiid said, as per Keith Pompey of Philly Inquirer. “I have been quite impressed, especially after what he's going through. He's still readjusting to basketball and his shoulder being fine and him being able to shoot, he's working on it.”

The controversies around Fultz mainly involve his awkward shooting form and shoulder injury.

As we've seen in the only four games Fultz has played as an NBA player, he has different shooting mechanics compared to what we have seen in the rookie's days with the University of Washington. But the difference is not for the better.

Fultz has been struggling from the field, scoring only six points per game in about 33% efficiency. He is also particularly awkward in his free throw attempts.

It's kind of sad, considering that Fultz's offense is one of the reasons why he has been a projected No. 1 overall pick.

Then there is the shoulder injury issue. Fans aren't even sure anymore whether Fultz changed his shot because of the injury or his shot change caused the injury itself.

Embiid's positive comment is one of the few good things surrounding Fultz right now. The struggling rookie will need it.

His physical struggles are already hard enough. We can only image how he is emotionally and psychologically dealing with all the negativity around him.

If he wants to contribute to The Process, Fultz needs to get his stuff together.
