The San Antonio Spurs are playing with fire in terms of making the playoffs. Just last week they were in the 10th spot in the Western Conference, but three straight wins have moved them back up into the seventh place.
They currently sit with a 40-30 record, but they are only two games up on the L.A. Clippers and the Denver Nuggets who are tied for ninth place.
After the Spurs beat the Minnesota Timberwolves on Saturday night for their third straight win, LaMarcus Aldridge talked with Tom Orsborn of My San Antonio, about how they can't take their foot off the gas because there is still a lot of work to be done.

LaMarcus Aldridge isn't just talking though, he is leading this team by example and after not feeling like he had a role with the team last year, he has settled into being one of the leaders of the team.
Against the Wolves on Saturday Aldridge put up 39 points, 10 rebounds, and two assists. So far this year, he is averaging 22.5 points, 8.3 rebounds, and two assists per game.
The Spurs could be getting a little boost in the next couple games as Kawhi Leonard is expected to be back at some point soon. Although there is still a chance that he misses the rest of the season, the chances seem better that he will return at least before the playoffs.
