Last Friday, we saw the new Team USA Men's National Basketball team blow past Argentina with a 37-point beating, 111-74, in front of their home crowd in Las Vegas.

Yes, even after winning by a very huge margin, head coach Mike Krzyzewski still had to nitpick on his team's performance. As he told Steve Aschburner of NBA.com, there's  “terminology to iron out” in the next four games leading to their gold medal defense at the Rio Olympics.

He called out one of his players, Toronto Raptors‘ guard Kyle Lowry, for playing too passive and not taking shots. There was even an instance where he had to talk to Lowry and asked:

“Would you take one shot at least? You talk about changing your role from a team that you play on (in the NBA) to this team.”

As Coach K continued:

“(Lowry) just wanted to be a point guard for everybody. … They just naturally are doing what the team needs them to do.”

The All-NBA third team member and All-Star this past season, hit one of his three field-goal attempts and finished with two points, two rebounds, two assists, and two steals in 15 minutes off the bench. His play versus Argentina was way different from what he is capable off. He has been known as one of the top point guards in the league now.

Last season, the Villanova product averaged 21.2 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 6.4 assists in 37 minutes per game. It is also worth taking note of his average shots last game which was at 15.6 a game.

Look for Lowry to bounce back from his dismal performance against China on Sunday night.
