The movie Black Panther continues to be much talked about despite already being shown more than three weeks ago. It is now one of the most successful movies of all time based on its earnings from the cinemas, as it has captured the interest of fans of all ages. That includes NBA players, who despite their statures, are not shy to show how much they like the movie and share how they can relate to the character played by Chadwick Boseman.
One of them is Toronto Raptors star guard DeMar DeRozan, who recently channelled his inner Black Panther during team practice. He was seen tying a shirt on his head and made the famous pose in the movie, doing his own version of the line “Wakanda Forever.”

Like in the movie, the Black Panther also faced a huge challenge when his cousin challenged him for the throne. He lost their first fight and was already thought to be dead, until his body was found and frozen until brought back to life. He regained what was his and ultimately won their final battle, becoming the “King of Wakanda” once again.
With DeRozan recently admitting that he is suffering from depression, he could use the main character from the movie to draw inspiration from to beat his condition. If he does just that, it will only make him a stronger person and will definitely benefit the Raptors as well, who are currently the top team in the Eastern Conference, and are looking to make a huge splash in the playoffs, to prove that they are indeed a force to be reckoned with.
