The Toronto Raptors host the Los Angeles Lakers on Thursday and the team is going to be without starting point guard Kyle Lowry.

The Raptors are listing Lowry as out to play due to a left ankle sprain. He was previously listed as questionable. The guard left Monday's game against the Cleveland Cavaliers and didn't return.

Toronto is 48-20 on the season. They have the second-best record in the Eastern Conference and already clinched a playoff spot.

In 56 games this season, Kyle Lowry is averaging 14.8 points, 4.8 rebounds and 9.1 assists per contest. The five-time All-Star is shooting 41.7 percent from the field, 34.8 percent from beyond the arc and 83.4 percent from the free-throw line.

Lowry has 19 double-doubles and two triple-doubles on the season. The Raptors are 40-16 when he's in the lineup. Toronto will likely start Jeremy Lin at point guard, as Fred VanVleet is still recovering from left thumb surgery.

The Raptors destroyed the Lakers back in 121-107 back in November at Staples Center. Star small forward Kawhi Leonard didn't play in that game and Toronto still crushed LeBron James and the Lakers. Leonard and the Raptors will be motivated to win again on Thursday, as they are coming off a bad loss to the lowly Cavs.
