Wojnarowski's reporting of four to six weeks is not great news for Toronto fans, but it's something the team can overcome. The Raptors are off to a ridiculous start at 10-1 and boast one of the deeper benches in the NBA. Powell was playing around 16 minutes a night for the first-place Raps.

Powell is an important player for Toronto, no doubt. But the next month and a half of basketball is not the time when the Raptors will need to be at their best. They'll need to be 100 percent for the playoffs, first and foremost. For all the disrespect the Eastern Conference received this offseason, the conference might not be as bad as everyone envisioned. The Boston Celtics are for real, the Philadelphia Sixers are still trying to find their way, and the Milwaukee Bucks look like the real deal.

The Raptors and Powell will have their hands full come the springtime.
