The Toronto Raptors are in the midst of a full-blown COVID-19 outbreak, with as many as seven players entering the NBA's protocols over the past couple of days. The latest group of players to enter the league's protocols includes Scottie Barnes and Precious Achiuwa, who tested positive for COVID-19 on Tuesday, per Adrian Wojnarowski.

This comes just a few hours after it was reported that Fred VanVleet and Malachi Flynn had entered league protocols, joining the likes of Pascal Siakam, Gary Trent, and Dalano Banton.

The Raptors are scheduled to play against the Chicago Bulls on Wednesday and no official word regarding a postponement has come down from the league, so as of now the game is still on. With seven players in protocols, the Raptors may explore the possibility of signing a player to a hardship waiver.

A breakout of COVID-19 on the Raptors is particularly concerning considering the team is located in Canada, which could have significant impacts on the team's ability to travel to road games.

The NBA has seen a mass outbreak of positive COVID-19 cases over the past few weeks, with several organizations losing multiple players to the league's protocols. The league has postponed various games as a result of the outbreaks, including a Bulls-Raptors matchup just last week, so it's hard to imagine the league isn't at least mulling the idea of postponing this one.

The Raptors are set to start a brief two-game road trip that will see them travel to Chicago for a matchup with the Bulls on Wednesday, and then head to Cleveland to face the Cavaliers on Sunday.
