The Toronto Raptors have gotten themselves a good one in Scottie Barnes, it seems. The rookie forward has already endeared himself to the franchise with his commitment and energy. Now, fans are getting glimpses of just how good the rookie can be on the court.

Toronto travelled to London for their annual open practice there. During the intra-team scrimmage, a Raptors fan caught this impressive moment from Barnes showcasing the potential he has.

Scottie Barnes has always been pegged as a forward of the Draymond Green mold. He's a tall, lanky forward who's excellent on defense, can handle the ball well and facilitate. This clip is what Nick Nurse and the Raptors hope Barnes can provide consistently: the primary focal point of the offense who can quarterback the team as a 6'7 point forward. Obviously, this scrimmage isn't exactly like the NBA. But having the confidence to perform this even in practice is important in developing Barnes' skills.

Michael Grange also noted that in that same scrimmage, Barnes was hitting contested pull-up midrange shots. That was one of the Raptors rookie's weakness coming into the draft. It seems that he's already working on fixing that weakness himself.

Of course, no Barnes trip would be complete without some of his silly antics. During the introduction of the Raptors players, instead of doing the classic run-up to the court, the rookie was visibly excited, waving and pumping his fist to the crowd.

And while giving away T-shirts to the crowd, Barnes found a way to maximize his distribution efficiency in the most Barnes way possible.

Overall, Raptors fans are happy with who they drafted with the fourth overall pick. It truly does seem like Scottie Barnes and Toronto are a match made in heaven for each other. Hopefully, the rookie can help usher in the next successful era of Toronto basketball.
