Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr says center DeMarcus Cousins is making good strides when it comes to his conditioning.

DeMarcus Cousins is still making his way back from the Achilles tear he suffered last season with the New Orleans Pelicans. While it is still unknown when the All-Star big man is going to make his season debut with Golden State, Steve Kerr says he has seen a dramatic improvement in Boogie's wind and ability to get up and down the floor.

“Mainly just confidence and conditioning, confidence in his ability to get up and down the floor and play a block of minutes at a high level,” Kerr said, via Monte Poole of NBC Sports Bay Area. “And I’m seeing dramatic improvement from him over the last couple weeks with his wind, with his ability to run the floor. It’s all been pretty exciting.”

It looks we are getting pretty close to Cousins' return to the basketball floor. The 28-year-old center was averaging 25.2 points and 12.9 rebounds per game last season with New Orleans before he sustained the Achilles injury.

Cousins has to be able to run up and down the floor to play in this Warriors' offense. Golden State pushes the pace at every turn, so Boogie has to be in good shape.
