Before their primetime game on Wednesday night against the Washington Wizards at Capital One Arena, head coach Steve Kerr and his Golden State Warriors have kept themselves busy during their brief time in the nation's capital. On Tuesday, the team went to the African American Museum and spent time with a bunch of kids from superstar forward Kevin Durant's hometown.

When asked if he was known more than just as the coach of the Warriors or his time with the Chicago Bulls, Kerr said that the kids gave him a priceless answer: they recognized him as the guy who used to do color commentary for the NBA 2K video game franchise.

“They know me as the guy who used to do the video game commentary for 2K,” coach Kerr said with a big smile.

Coach Kerr said that it was a very special time that he and his players spent with all the kids on Tuesday. He loved to see all of his players interacting with the kids and that it had a special place in his heart.

“My favorite moments were all when the kids were engaged with our guys. That was beautiful to watch, just to see the faces,” coach Kerr said.

As for Golden State's game tonight in the nation's capital, the Wizards are going to be playing the second game of a back-to-back. Last night on the road, Washington managed to hold on for a thrilling 107-104 win over the Milwaukee Bucks at BMO Harris Bradley Center.
