Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr is no longer making any excuses for his players' poor performance. After a sound loss to the Denver Nuggets after falling to the Utah Jazz by a season-high 30 points two games ago, the man at the helm noted fatigue would be no longer the scapegoat.

“I think the excuse we had last week is no longer an excuse,” said Kerr. “We'll be on our own beds this week with great teams coming in. We should feel like this is a good week we can take advantage of and be alert.”

The Warriors' constant turnovers have plagued them throughout the year, and even in what should have been a loss to the Sacramento Kings on Friday, turned into a win, despite surrendering a second-season-worst 25 turnovers in the game.

Golden State's talent has helped them overcome these inefficiencies in many games, but against more talented teams, it's turned into ugly losses.

Kerr had previously noted the massive loss to Utah was due to fatigue and players looking forward to the All-Star break to catch a breather — thing that was addressed by the team's vocal leader over the weekend.

“Draymond talked with the team the other day,” said Kerr. “Let's go into the break in good fashion, that will make the break even more fun.”

The Warriors will play the Oklahoma City Thunder next on Tuesday, before taking on the Dallas Mavericks on Thursday and the San Antonio Spurs on Saturday — a good slate of games at home to get them back into rhythm before the break.
