Golden State Warriors forward Kevin Durant was inactive during Sunday’s tiff with the Brooklyn Nets due to a left ankle sprain, but it doesn’t look like he’ll be out for more than a game.
According to Anthony Slater of The Athletic, Warriors head coach Steve Kerr is optimistic that Durant will be able to take the floor again as soon as Wednesday when Golden State pays the Oklahoma City Thunder a visit at Chesapeake Energy Arena.
Steve Kerr said Kevin Durant should be "fine" for Wednesday at OKC. Sitting as a precaution tonight.

It’s not ascertained where and when exactly did Durant hurt his ankle, but he could’ve sustained it during last Saturday’s 124-116 come-from-behind win over the Philadelphia 76ers. Except for going 1-of-6 from behind the arc in that game, Durant looked fine overall, however, scoring 27 points to go with five rebounds, three assists, two blocks, and two steals.

If Durant is indeed ready to go for Wednesday’s game, it would generate even more interest to the contest, as it would be another episode of the 2017 Finals MVP sharing the same floor with his former running mate and reigning MVP, Russell Westbrook.
Should he miss another contest, though, the Warriors will be looking to get Andre Iguodala and Omri Casspi extended minutes on the court.
Durant is averaging 24.9 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 4.9 assists per game through the season.
