Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr still isn't quite ready to fully commit to having DeMarcus Cousins back on the court on Jan. 18 against the Los Angeles Clippers.

Cousins is reportedly targeting that game for his return to the court, and that certainly has Golden State fans excited about adding another playmaker to the lineup.

However, even with reports suggesting that Cousins is expected to be back against the Clippers, Kerr isn't going to guarantee that just yet.

It makes sense that Kerr wouldn't give a definitive answer at this point, as things could certainly change before the game against the Clippers rolls around.

But this is likely Kerr being cautious about the entire process, especially since he knows how far Cousins has come in his rehab since the surgery last year.

Getting Cousins on the floor will undoubtedly be a huge boost for the Warriors moving forward, with the team already racking up plenty of wins this season with him on the sidelines.

Kerr's group is coming off a convincing 122-95 victory over the New York Knicks on Tuesday night, which helped the Warriors move to 27-14 overall on the season.

With Cousins back in the mix, it will become even tougher for teams to gameplan against an already loaded Warriors' roster, and that should allow Steph Curry and company to keep adding more and more confidence as the season progresses.

Next up for the Warriors is a matchup with the Chicago Bulls on Friday night.
