The Washington Wizards were defeated in Game 1 against the Philadelphia 76ers, but it was through no fault of Bradley Beal.
The Wizards All-Star showed off his immense scoring ability all night, finishing with 33 points on a stellar 13 for 23 shooting clip from the floor. Not bad for someone who's been dealing with a nagging hamstring injury that kept him out of a handful of games less than two weeks ago.
Bradley Beal spoke out on his hamstring injury after the Wizards' Game 1 loss:
Bradley Beal says his hamstring continues to "trend in the right direction" and that he felt better today after a rare two days off.

Terrific news for Wizards brass and fans alike. He needed every bit of his health in this one, as he was swarmed by a rotating tandem of Matisse Thybulle and Defensive Player of the Year candidate Ben Simmons. Despite their absolutely suffocating defense and a gimpy leg, Beal still managed to produce.
If the Beal we saw blowing by Thybulle and finishing over Embiid in the lane wasn't at 100%, then imagine what he'd look like playing fully healthy.
But even with their star firing on all cylinders, the Sixers proved to be just too good for the Wizards. Joel Embiid overcame foul issues to finish with 30 points on just 16 shots. Tobias Harris was a human torch in this one, piling on 37 for Philly.
Bradley Beal needs to get as healthy as possible as the Wizards look to regroup for Game 2.
