The Washington Wizards remain Bradley Beal's team. After all, the veteran shooting guard appears to be the only superstar-caliber player left standing in the nation's capital.
With Beal presumably being forced into an even larger role for the Wizards moving forward, if that is even possible, the Washington standout has spent his summer fine-tuning his game while coming up with a plan similar to that of two-time NBA MVP and Golden State Warriors point guard Stephen Curry.
“Deeper threes. I’m not trying to compete with Dame [Lillard], I’m not Logo Lillard. But I want to shoot deeper threes and shoot more threes,” Beal recently told NBC Sports Washington. “You know I need to shoot more threes. You probably say it all the time. And, obviously, make them. I have to make them.”
The 28-year-old Bradley Beal was named a starter from the Eastern Conference in the NBA All-Star Game. He then finished the 2020-21 campaign as a Top 15 player in the league en route to making the league's All-NBA team for the first time in his professional playing career.

It is also worth noting that he finished second in scoring to Stephen Curry, who was just 0.7 points ahead at 32.0 points per game. Maybe improving his efficiency from deep will help propel him to be the league's scoring champ come the 2021-22 campaign.
The lowly Wizards could certainly benefit from that. Besides, the team is certainly hoping for him to take a big leap after infamously trading away All-Star point guards in back-to-back offseasons– with John Wall heading to the Houston Rockets last summer and Russell Westbrook making his way back home to the Los Angeles Lakers this time around.
