It sure looks like Kyle Kuzma is excited to play for the Washington Wizards and have a fresh start after a rough few years with the Los Angeles Lakers.

In fact, as he heads to the nation's capital to join the Wizards, Kuzma promises something that Lakers fans weren't able to enjoy in the past few years since LeBron James and Anthony Davis joined the Purple and Gold. According to the 26-year-old, he's confident that he's going to play better in a team that will fully utilize his talents.

While Kyle Kuzma won a championship with the Lakers in 2020, it doesn't erase the fact that he has been demoted as a third or, more frequently, a fourth option on offense behind LeBron and Davis.

Of course, it allowed him to work on other areas of his game as he focused on his playmaking and defense. However, his offense wasn't fully utilized and tapped to its full potential. With the Wizards, he should be one of the main options to score alongside Bradley Beal and Rui Hachimura.

In the past two seasons, Kuz averaged just 12.8 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 1.6 assists. In 2018-19 when LeBron joined LA and he was still a second option on offense, he put up 18.7 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 2.5 assists. If the Wizards can get the same production or elevate it further, there's no doubt he can be a key force behind Washington's rise.

It remains to be seen if Kuz can walk the talk, but the Wizards should certainly be excited to see a motivated and hungry player like Kuzma who is ready to prove his doubters wrong.
