The Washington Wizards have been struggling recently. After a hot start to the season, the team has slumped hard in the past few months. They went from a top three team in the Eastern Conference to being completely out of the play-in picture.

As a result, the Wizards front office are heavily involved in trade rumors in order to salvage their season. High on their trade wishlist is former All-Star center Domantas Sabonis of the Indiana Pacers. According to Quinton Mayo, the team has already taken the first step, sending a trade offer to the Pacers for the center.

Domantas Sabonis would be an… interesting fit with the Wizards if these rumors come true. The Pacers center is a double-double machine who is talented at nearly facet on offense. In theory, he'll fit in with Bradley Beal as a pick-and-roll threat as well as a facilitator from the post.

However, Sabonis isn't a defensive player in any sense of the word. Considering the Wizards have a bottom-ten defense at the moment, you'd expect them to make a run at a defensive-minded player. By the looks of it, though, they are going all-in on offense and hope for the best.

This season can be classified as an all-in season for the Wizards. Rumors of Bradley Beal leaving the team have circulated since the offseason. While Beal has publicly said he wants to stay with the team (and has said the right things so far), another losing season or first-round exit could change his mind. Washington is looking to field a competitive team to convince their star to stay in the country's capital.
