Ty Berry, a four-star prospect out of the 2020 college basketball recruiting class, has committed to play for the Northwestern Wildcats.

How do we know this? Well, tickle me glad you asked. He took to the mean streets of Twitter to make the announcement himself by way of a nifty tweet.

Here's where things begin to get interesting as to how people view the young man coming out of high school.

While some reputable recruiting service outlets have Ty Berry pegged as only a three-star caliber player, outlets such as 247Sports, or more accurately their composite rankings, have him slotted as a four-star while their traditional rankings are at a three.

Confusing stuff, right?

Not really. He's just outside most websites' top 100 boards, but not to a weirdly huge mark. Tradtionally, if someone is sitting just outside those, the players will inevitably earn a fourth star.

Hooray, stars, is what I always say.

Nevertheless, this is a good get for the Northwestern Wildcats, even if Berry doesn't projected to make an immediate impact.
