The Missouri Tigers are apparently already at the point in the season when players decide to take it upon themselves to produce results.
According to a report, which you should read in full, the Tigers have already done a players-only meeting.
It is not even October.
For those unaware, players-only type meetings are usually reserved from teams — regardless of sport — that need a boost thanks to losing, or coaching changes, or general sadness setting in the locker room.
There is a lot of things in the report that are surprising and informative. The most of which is a freshman apparently giving the best of the speeches. That freshman is linebacker Aubrey Miller … a special teams player.

He’s one of the guys I’m looking up to now even though I’m a senior. I’m going to model my game more like him.”
Please read that over again.
I am not here to mock guys for trying to be honest about certain situations. The idea that a senior is taking cues from a freshman who is mostly on special teams is something, though. I don't know what exactly, and I am not even saying it is a bad thing, but it is still very much something.
This all happened on Monday. Monday is meant to be the players' day off. Here is to hoping Missouri goes on a winning streak or something.
