It is incredibly important to note that the betting odds are at the time of publication. The numbers might change by the time Saturday hits, as Las Vegas books will adjust to the action accordingly leading up to the game.
Notre Dame currently has a record of 2-1. The Irish are coming off a win against Boston College.
It was a strange game for Brian Kelly and company, as there was almost no production from quarterback Brandon Wimbush in the air (only 96 yards passing). However, the running game put up an astonishing 515 yards. Wimbush had 207 of those yards (a school record) and four touchdowns. Actual running back Josh Adams had 229 yards himself.
Michigan State is 2-0. They recently topped Western Michigan, 28-14, with a strong running game. 296 yards and three touchdowns came on the ground.
We might be on the verge of a run-heavy football game. That is, at least, if previous games are solid predictors of the future.
