Jon Gruden, man. End column!

Fine. We kid, but did Jon Gruden ever get caught up in a moment during Monday Night Football.

First, let's watch the video:

Roll tide? That would be great if, you know, the player making the hit went to Alabama. Instead, Adrian Amos, the one making the huge hit, played at Penn State.

For those unaware, Penn State is not Alabama.

Nevertheless, this keeps Jon Gruden in the limelight for reasons that are better than the normal ones. The sort that keep insisting he is going to take over your favorite college football team. As we have discussed before, that isn't happening, even if Paul Finebaum is trying to stoke those flames.

Here is Paul Finebaum and those wacky things he does here and there. What is it called? Oh yeah, creating noises with his mouth and claiming them to be words.

If I hadn’t been to Knoxville last week, I would have laughed at you,” Finebaum told a caller on his show. “But I talked to someone, let me put it you that way, someone that I have a lot of trust in and that is connected deeply in that program and he told me the same thing. He said, ‘If we lose this (Georgia) game, and something happens to Butch Jones, our first choice will be Jon Gruden.

Whatever. That isn't happening.

Anyway, Gruden was wrong during a Monday Night Football broadcast, but who can blame him? After all, he is apparently weighing the option of coaching any of 100 Division I football programs or 20-ish NFL gigs. For what it is worth, Penn State is probably not one of them.
