Center DeAndre Jordan has agreed to a four-year, $40 million deal with the Brooklyn Nets.

Per Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, Jeff Schwartz — Jordan's agent — shared the news.

Jordan will be teaming up with Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant — who also recently agreed to a four-year deals with the Nets. They'll join the young and scrappy Nets squad featuring Jarret Allen, Caris LeVert, Spencer Dinwiddie, Joe Harris, among others.

Last season, the Kenny Atkinson-coach squad finished sixth in the Eastern Conference and made their first playoff appearance since 2015. They did this with a single budding star in D'Angelo Russell (who's expected to head somewhere else). Apart from having the capacity to absorb max-level players, the Nets' roster infrastructure made them an attractive destination for Irving, Durant, and Jordan.

The Nets have quickly been tagged as the winners of the offseason with their big deals. Most people believed that it was their neighbors — the New York Knicks — who'll snag two top free agents. After all, they freed up ample space in February. Little did everyone know that the Nets would turn out as the team who'll receive a major facelift.

Durant is expected to be out for the majority of the year to nurse his Achilles injury. Despite this, the Nets can still be considered threats to the title. Apart from having two of the most potent scorers in the game, they'll also have Jordan — a defensive stalwart who's a hefty presence in the paint.
