It is clear that Kendrick Perkins and Brooklyn Nets superstar Kevin Durant have yet to hash out their differences. These two have engaged in more than a few war of words, and this time around, Perk explains why he believes the problem is with Durant, and not him.

Speaking to SI's Chris Mannix, Perkins called out Kevin Durant for being too sensitive. Obviously, some Nets fans might disagree with the sentiment:

“Think about this,” Perkins said about the Nets star. “I'm still cool with all my friends, everybody from the NBA family I still could call, I still go to dinner with, I still hang with, we still good people. They know I got a job to do. Except for one person. That's Kevin Durant. So guess what? That tells me that I'm doing my job well and I'm staying loyal to my brotherhood. Especially the people that I know. Only sensitive guys get mad because you got to talk about them in the media.”

That's a fair point from Perkins right there. The former NBA champ big man is not one to mince words, and since his rise as one of the more prominent analysts for ESPN, Perkins has been critical of more than a few players throughout the league. To say that he has a personal vendetta against the Brooklyn Nets superstar would probably be inaccurate, considering how Perkins also labelled Durant as the “greatest scorer in NBA history“.

Other NBA personalities have often given Kevin Durant a hard time, making Perkins the opposite of an outlier. Charles Barkley, as an example, has given the new Nets star some trouble recently.

Nets, Kevin Durant, Kendrick Perkins

It will be interesting to see how Durant responds to this recent statement by Perkins, but knowing the Nets stud, he probably won't let this one pass.
