No offense to Karl-Anthony Towns, but Brooklyn Nets star Kevin Durant thinks the Minnesota Timberwolves center is reaching when he says he's the greatest shooting big man of all time.

For Durant, that honor belongs to none other than Dallas Mavericks legend Dirk Nowitzki.

The Nets forward has nothing but respect for KAT and his ability to shoot the ball. He has undoubtedly proven that he is indeed one of the better big men to launch the ball from long distance. However, claiming that he is already the best to do it doesn't sit well with KD.

“[Dirk's the] greatest big man shooter of all time. Although I respect KAT … but for KAT to say that, come on,” the Nets scorer said in his latest show on the Boardroom titled “The ETCs with KD

Kevin Durant is hardly alone in his sentiment. Ever since Karl-Anthony Towns started claiming he is the GOAT shooting big man, fans and experts alive have been reminding him not to forget about Dirk Nowitzki.

The Mavs icon basically popularized big men shooting from long distance. He was a deadly shooter from all over the floor, though he is mostly known for his unstoppable shot that made him a force to be reckoned with in the mid-range.

Being the best shooting big man is not just about shooting triples, and Towns certainly have a lot of work to do to become a legitimate threat on other areas of the floor.

For now, KD doesn't think anyone is beating Dirk for the GOAT big man shooter title any time soon.
