July 4 is a national holiday in the USA. Well, it turns out some people are celebrating July 4 as the infamous decision by Kevin Durant to join the Golden State Warriors. Tweets have gone out remembering the day Durant made the decision, and the now Brooklyn Nets star has taken to Twitter— as usual– to respond to some such posts.

Five years ago Durant made the decision to join the Warriors and form a superteam, one of the best of all-time that went on to a 73-9 regular-season record. Durant's response was perfect nonetheless, and it certainly is remembered by many as the day he made the decision.

After that, Durant went to the Nets, and the Nets had championship hopes before key injuries to James Harden and Kyrie Irving proved costly for them. However, the Nets should be running it back and should enter next season as presumed title favorites, especially with the talented Big 3.

Kevin Durant didn't stop there with the replies.

The decision to join the Warriors five years ago was met with heavy backlash as some called it an easy way out and an easy path to a title. Either way, it worked out for Durant and the Warriors, and now Durant went off to form another talented trio with the Nets in hopes of adding more trophies to his arsenal.

Never change, Durant.
