Some Oklahoma City Thunder fans are still upset at Brooklyn Nets superstar small forward Kevin Durant for his decision to sign with the Golden State Warriors on July 4, 2016.

It's the four-year anniversary of Durant sending shockwaves throughout the sports world when he decided to join the 73-9 Warriors. When the Nets star saw a Thunder fan tweet at him on Twitter, the two-time Finals MVP had a savage response:

Durant's run with the Thunder was legendary even though he never won a title. However, most OKC fans will never forgive KD for leaving the franchise for the Warriors, especially since the Thunder had a 3-1 series lead over the Dubs in the 2016 Western Conference Finals before choaking and losing the series in seven games.

Durant, who won two titles and two Finals MVPs with the Warriors, won't be partaking in the “bubble” games down in Orlando, Florida for the Nets. The future Hall of Famer is still recovering from the Achilles tear he suffered in the 2019 Finals with the Warriors.

Once Durant and Kyrie Irving take the floor together in 2020-21, the Nets will be title contenders. KD and Irving are two of the best players in the NBA.

A 10-time All-Star and former MVP, Durant has career NBA averages of 27.0 points, 7.1 rebounds and 4.1 assists in 849 games with the Thunder and Warriors.

Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving and DeAndre Jordan, who are very close friends off the court, each signed four-year deals with the Nets in the summer of 2019. In fact, KD and Kyrie took less money from the team so Jordan could get a $40 million contract from Brooklyn.
