The Brooklyn Nets have been struggling mightily without Kevin Durant in the mix. They lost four straight games with KD out with a knee injury. Kyrie Irving and Co. have picked up the slack of late, though, logging back-to-back wins in their last two games.

Be that as it may, there's no denying that the Nets desperately want Durant back as soon as possible. Even KD himself is longing for his return, and the fact that he missed Brooklyn's matchup against his former team, the Golden State Warriors, last Sunday because of his injury weighs heavily on his mind:

“Asked KD about playing in the ASG: ‘I want to play tomorrow.' Said he has a sense of urgency, but doesn’t want to rush it. Points out he missed his return to Golden State this weekend from it, hasn’t seen Warriors’ fans in the Bay since coming to Brooklyn,” wrote Nets beat reporter Alex Schiffer of The Athletic.

It has now been nearly four years since Kevin Durant packed his bags and walked away from the Warriors after winning two championships alongside Stephen Curry and Co. Nevertheless, it is clear that he continues to have fond memories of his time in the Bay Area. In particular, it seems that KD still has an affinity toward Dub Nation despite all that he went through during his colorful tenure with the Warriors.

Right now, Durant has been out of action for more than two weeks because of his MCL sprain. He was initially expected to be out for a month, which means that barring any unforeseen setbacks, Nets fans should see KD back in action in the near future.
