Jimmy Butler cited the Brooklyn Nets as one of his preferred destinations. Rondae Hollis-Jefferson prodded him to “come on home” to Brooklyn.

Per Anthony Puccio of SB Nation, below is a screenshot of Hollis-Jefferson's comment on Butler's recent Instagram post.

Butler isn't from Brooklyn so it's hard to decipher what Hollis-Jefferson is trying to say. Either way, the incoming fourth-year man definitely wants Butler on his team.

The Nets do not really have a superstar in their team. They all have a good set of unselfish role players and they could really use the addition of an elite caliber player like Butler.

However, if the Nets intend to arrange a trade package for Butler, there's a good chance that Hollis-Jefferson would be part of the deal. The Nets' best player is D'Angelo Russell — the second overall pick of the 2015 NBA Draft. He sat most of the season last year to rehabilitate but when he's on the floor, he shows flashes of brilliance.

A straight swap involving Butler and Russell won't likely make the cut, especially for the Wolves. So a likely arrangement would be a mid-tier player like Hollis-Jefferson plus some assets.

The teams that Butler mentioned are probably sorting out possible trade packages as we speak. The events might unfold sooner than expected. After all, a brand new season is just around the corner.
