Point guard D'Angelo Russell has used the 2018-19 season as his breakout campaign. Take Sunday versus the Los Angeles Clippers, for example, zipping in a gorgeous no-look dish to Joe Harris for the and-one during the third quarter.

D-Lo entered Sunday's contest averaging a career-high 6.7 assists per game this season, running the show at the point for a Brooklyn roster that has averaged 111.4 points on a nightly basis.

It's not just dishing dimes that have helped Russell break out, as he is also on pace for a new career high in scoring at 20.2 PPG, an improvement of nearly five points from his first campaign with the Nets, which was limited to just 48 games. Taken with the second overall pick by the Los Angeles Lakers out of Ohio State in the 2015 NBA Draft, Russell was immediately inserted into the starting five as a teenager. Now in his fourth year in the league, he appears to be settling into his game.

Harris is another member of the Nets having a career season. He gained notoriety by winning the NBA 3-Point Contest during All-Star weekend back in February, but is also on pace for a new career high in scoring with 13.4 PPG. He has started all 67 games he has appeared in this year, leading the league in three-point percentage at 46.2 entering the night.
