Detailed in an official Battlefield Briefing from earlier this week, Kimble “Irish” Graves has been confirmed as a Specialist coming to Battlefield 2042. The character's official splash-art reads:

“A natural-born leader, Kimble “Irish” Graves, is the commander of the Specialists aboard the Exodus. A native of Brooklyn, New York, his natural leadership qualities and combat skills help keep the non-Patriated safe from harm. Having seen the cost of war first hand as a former Marine, this skilled engineer is dedicated to protecting both his squad as well as those who cannot fight for themselves.”

Additionally, he will have the Fortification System Specialty and Veteran trait. Fortification System includes the DCS Deployable Cover that protects from bullets and explosives. It also includes the APS6 Shootdown Sentinel, which takes down explosive projectiles. Meanwhile, the Veteran trait provides him with armor that has additional bonuses from downed enemies. Kimble “Irish” Graves joins the Battlefield 2042 Specialist roster with the role of an Engineer.

Kimble “Irish” Graves first made his appearance in the Battlefield franchise in Battlefield 4. There, he was one of the leaders of No-Pats. His original voice actor, Michael K. Williams, will be reprising his role in Battlefield 2042.

In the upcoming game, he will “find himself at a crossroads with the mysterious Oz” – another leader in the No-Pats. Irish wants to tend to his people and keep them safe, away from the wars fought by the world's superpowers. However, Oz is on the opposite side of the spectrum fanning the flames of war. He believes that the “old world must burn for the new one to be born.”
