Once again, glitch and in-game bug hunters found another exploit in New World. This time it involves duplication of gold which is very much a game-breaking exploit. Because of this, Amazon Game Studios temporarily disabled all forms of wealth transfer in New World

According to the New World Forums, the exploit occurs during the economy control in-game. As expected, they didn’t explain how exactly can one player trigger the exploit. Amazon swore to give necessary punishment to those involved in the duplication exploit. Also, they plan on taking back the gains reverting each guilty player’s gold back to its original amount.

New World players on social media had mixed reactions towards the gold duplication exploit. Reddit user u/IndisputableKwa claims that the exploit is an old trick being utilized ever since New World’s beta phase. Other Reddit and New World Forum users on the other hand claim that the dupe is entirely new. Whatever the case may be, Amazon needs to come up with a fix regardless.

As of the moment, players cannot make player-to-player transfers, send currencies, and create offers in the trading post. This is due to the reason of a possible gold duplication exploit infesting New World’s servers. Rest assured, Amazon is currently investigating the exploit and will redeploy wealth transfers once a solution comes up.
