Four weeks away from the 2021 NFL Draft, reigning Heisman Trophy winner DeVonta Smith has a warning for those worrying about his smallish stature. Don't.

During a Monday media scrum, the former Alabama wide receiver revealed he's officially 6-foot-1, 170 pounds, and any concerns could be considered comical.

“I feel like it's not going to be any different than college. I have played in the SEC. I feel like it's the toughest conference there is. I know a lot of people that are bigger than me that have more problems than me, so I'm not worried about it at all.”Smith said to reporters

According to ESPN's Cameron Wolfe, Smith would be the second-lightest first-round receiver drafted since 1999. ESPN's Todd McShay has DeVonta Smith going No. 8 overall to the Miami Dolphins, in what would be a reunion with his former college quarterback in Tua Tagovailoa.

Several analysts, as well as a former star NFL wide receiver, have already come to the electric wideout's defense on social media:

DeVonta Smith noticed:

Since 1999, only one wide receiver 170 pounds or lighter has compiled 1,000 yards or more receiving in a single season in DeSean Jackson. While the odds might be against Smith, as noted by PFF's Austin Gayle there is still a good chance that DeVonta has a great NFL career ahead of him.

But if there's any wideout capable of changing perception, it could be Smith — who finished his collegiate career with more than 3,900 yards receiving and 46 receiving touchdowns — including 23 in a colossal 2020 campaign. DeVonta Smith and Florida's Kyle Pitts were the only players to earn 90+ grades from PFF, and he was a first-down magnet.
