Louisiana Tech defensive lineman Jaylon Ferguson is an interesting prospect, to say the least.

He is coming off of a remarkable senior campaign in which he racked up 65 tackles, 26 tackles for loss, 17.5 sacks, a couple of forced fumbles, and a fumble recovery. He holds the NCAA record for career sacks with 47. He is third all-time in career tackles for loss with 68.

However, he posted a three-cone drill time of 8.08 seconds at his Pro Day, marking the slowest time for an edge rusher since 2000.

Naturally, there is plenty of interest in Ferguson based on his production, but there are also reservations due to his apparent lack of athleticism, which is why 22 of the 32 teams in the NFL will be meeting with him ahead of the NFL Draft this month, according to Jenna Laine of ESPN.

Ferguson will be meeting with the Cincinnati Bengals and Tampa Bay Buccaneers this week.

The fact that the 23-year-old was unable to participate in the NFL Scouting Combine in February due to a background check which revealed a simple battery conviction during his freshman year didn't exactly help his case, either.

However, there is obviously no denying that Ferguson was a dominant force on the collegiate level, as he also registered 49 tackles, 14 tackles for loss, 14.5 sacks, three forced fumbles, and a pair of fumble recoveries during his sophomore season.

Ferguson's production during his freshman and junior years was a bit tamer, as he registered six and seven sacks, respectively, but his cumulative totals over his collegiate tenure is truly something at which to marvel.
