Former USC Trojans safety and current 2019 NFL Draft prospect Marvell Tell is quite the athlete so it appears. Although forgotten at times throughout this offseason, Tell once again put himself squarely on the map as the up-and-coming defensive back accomplished a tremendous feat at USC's recent Pro Day.

According to Eric Edholm, Tell recorded a 41-inch vertical jump despite coming recently down with the flu. Not only that, but Tell previously registered a 42-inch vertical jump at the 2019 NFL Scouting Combine while obviously not letting his illness effect him too much.

“Athletic safety prospect with fluid movement skills and cover talent, but a thin frame that is likely to be a concern for teams who are unwilling to relax physical standards for the position,” reads his NFL.com draft profile. “Tell has enough speed to play with range, and the twitch to close out and challenge throws in his area. His lack of physicality and consistency as a tackler could be a long-term concern and the same could be said about his hustle, which must improve. His coverage traits are appealing, but his floor might be lower than teams would like.”

While it remains to be seen as to where exactly Tell comes off the board next month, one thing is for certain  — whatever NFL team lands his services is going to get one heck of an athlete. With NFL wide receivers, tight ends and running backs getting oth stronger and faster, adding an athlete of this caliber on the defensive side of the football certainly wouldn't hurt.
