During his time in the league former NFL running back, Chris Johnson was one of the best at his position, but he told TMZ Sports that if he could go back and do it all over again, he would change his position. Johnson said that a coach once told him he should switch his position and he didn't listen, but he should have.

“If I could do it all over again, when that coach came to me and told me, ‘You should switch your position to receiver or cornerback,' I would have did it,” he said.

Johnson is only 33 years old right now, and made almost $50 million during his playing career, but thinks he would have made a lot more if he didn't play running back.

“I really believe in my head, if I played receiver or cornerback, I would still be playing in the league to this day and still making $15, $16 million a year at those positions,” Johnson said.

Johnson makes a good point here. A lot of teams don't like spending big money on running backs, and they also seem to be out of the league a lot faster. When a running back gets close to 30 years old, he is going to have a tough time getting a long-term deal.

Johnson also said that he is going to make sure that his sons don't play running back because of how much more money can be made at other positions.

“I'm going to make sure I keep them away from running back.”
