The NFL world was stunned when the news of Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Dwayne Haskins' death broke out earlier in the month. Haskins was one of the better quarterback prospects coming out of college. The former Buckeye actually is one of Ohio State's record holders in college football.

The NFL made sure to pay their respects to Dwayne Haskins in the 2022 Draft. Prior to the start of the event, the league asked everyone to have a moment of silence. The gesture was well-received by those in attendance, who promptly gave their respects to the late Steelers quarterback.

Haskins was arguably one of the greatest players in Ohio State history. It's no surprise, then, when the Washington Commanders (then called Redskins) drafted him with the 15th pick in the 2019 NFL draft. After two years in Washington, Haskins was traded to the Pittsburgh Steelers as a backup to Ben Roethlisberger. He was set to compete for the open QB spot in Pittsburgh, and was actually training with the team prior to his death.

Haskins tragically died on April 9 after walking onto the freeway in South Florida. The quarterback was reportedly out looking for gas when he was hit by an oncoming truck in the middle of the road. The news shook the NFL world to its core, and many of Haskins' current and former teammates spoke out about how amazing he was for them.

Dwayne Haskins may be gone, but his legacy lives on in the NFL world. His impact on his teammates and his hard-working attitude will forever be remembered by fans.
